It works as it should. The straps stay tight during the whole trip. The rubber pads aren’t the tightest fit on the feet but that just is an issue when the rack is stored. Not a big deal but worth mentioning so you can make sure they are there before putting it on the car. Very light weight and sturdy.

I don’t know how anybody can give a positive review for this product. While assembling this product, the rubber hinges actually broke while I was tightening the bolts (all 4 of them). Based on what I observed I am happy that they broke while assembling and not while I was driving. I don’t think this is a safe product. The item was returned the day I received it.

Easy to assemble and it fits nice and snug to the roof of my Hyundai Elantra and my sisters Mitsubishi Lancer. I bought 2 of these. The only problem we’ve encountered is when it rains, the straps allow water to leak inside the door. 4 little pieces of sticky weather strip do the trick though. This this works great besides that.

This little rack can pack a lot of gear and you hardly know it’s there. It didn’t make a lot of noise like other racks I have had have done in the past. My only concern was that the feet didn’t fit the roof of my SUV very well, so I just duct taped some foam padding and put kids socks its little feet and…Voila! Perfect.

Highland 35036 Black Universal Car Roof Top Basket Carrier is a good product. Comes out real handy when you don’t have enough room in your car trunk. Very light and easy to mount on the rood of the car.
The only disadvantage is that it can be easly stollen if left in the public parking places. Over all I am satisfied with this product.
